A Panamanian man, who was recently rescued at sea, hired a lawyer to sue Princess Cruise Lines for negligence. Allegedly, the cruise line did not help their disabled boat out at sea, which resulted in the death of his two companions. The man, Adrian Vazquez, survived twenty-eight adrift at sea because their motor had broken on their boat. On day sixteen, they cross the path of the cruise ship and screamed for help. However, the ship did not stop and hope was lost. Vazquez’s lawyer, Attorney Edna Ramos, has filed a lawsuit in a Florida state court.

The Dalian International Airport has recently recruited a group of cheerleaders to entertain passengers who are waiting for their next flight. The squad would be performing at the airport’s main hall with amazing splits, jumps and kicks. Just last week, a string of delays had passengers irritated and angered. The cheerleaders were able to perform routines that “soothed emotion and alleviated fatigue for more than 5,000 stranded fliers”.
The cheerleaders were also brought on to provide more convenience for passengers as well as an effort to demonstrate spirit. In addition to cheerleaders, the airport has also launched other innovate services such as instant flight and weather updates and free physical checkups.
Though there is no schedule to when the cheerleaders are to perform, they have at least one performance a day that lasts several hours.
An airport official, Zhen Qun, commented, “The cheerleaders are enrolled in different colleges in Dalian. We hire them on a work-for-study program. The performance is free of charge for passengers.”
The Dalian International Airport is one of the biggest airports in China and is also the fourth busiest. The airport handled approximately 12 million passengers last year and still continues to do so. Due to the restricted airspace and weather, this airline constantly experiences delays as well as schedule changes. This reason alone is why the airport is trying to sooth passengers by entertaining them during their delays.

A group of television producers who work for the Discovery Channel recently crashed a Boeing 727 in the name of science. According to the press release, the plane was guided toward an isolated part of Mexico’s Sonoran Desert. After guiding the plane into the specified area, the pilot ejected from the aircraft just before the jet crashed.
The press release stated, “Rather than carrying passengers, the plane was packed with scientific experiments, including crash test dummies. Dozens of cameras recorded the crash from inside the aircraft, on the ground, in chase planes and even on the ejecting pilot’s helmet.”
The executive vice president of public relations at the Discovery Network commented, “Scientists and veteran crash investigators will review the results of the crash. The company is not releasing the names of the experts at this time.”
The goal of crashing such an aircraft is to improve survival rates if such an incident occurs. The Federal Aviation Administration was not involved in the experiment but has certain specifications in which the network would have to abide by.

Last week a pilot had a midair meltdown that resulted in him being subdued by the crew and few passengers. Once they were able to subdue him, the co-pilot signaled an emergency landing. The wife of the JetBlue pilot stated that they are focusing on his recovery and thanked “those on the flight for their professionalism after being put in an awful situation”.
The Flight was on its way to Las Vegas when it was diverted to Texas because of the erratic behavior being displayed by Captain Clayton Osbon. Osbon had allegedly ran through the cabin before he was forced down by a couple of passengers. Before running out of the cockpit, Osbon stated that he is being evaluated by someone and made “incoherent comments about religion and then said, ‘things just don’t matter’”.
Connye Osbon stated on behalf of the family that “It is our belief, as Clayton’s family, that while he was clearly distressed, he was not intentionally violent toward anyone. We know you were placed in an awful situation and we appreciate your ability to respond professionally.”
Clayton faces a federal charge of interfering with a flight crew, which could result in twenty years in prison.

A plane was recently diverted while in flight due to a telephoned bomb threat. The JetBlue plane was on its way to Boston when they were told to head towards Buffalo, N.Y. instead. Flight 923 had eighty-six passengers onboard as well as four crew members. Once the plane landed safely in Buffalo, it was met by authorities and swept thoroughly.
The TSA commented, “The plane landed safely at 8:25 a.m. and has since been cleared of any possible threats”.
Once the plane was searched and cleared, it was allowed to continue towards its original destination, Chicago. The only outcome of the search was detaining one passenger aboard the plane.
The plane was originally stopped because airline headquarters had received a phone call informing them that there may be an explosive device aboard Flight 923. Subsequently, the caller continued to reveal the passenger who was involved in the bomb threat.

The Transportation Security Administration has recently, in the past year, created a program called the PreCheck. This program allows qualified, frequent fliers to skip the long lines and use the PreCheck lane at the airport. In this lane, travelers will not have to remove their shoes, jackets, and belts. In addition, they are allowed to leave their laptops in the bag.
In the past week, the TSA has stated that U.S. military personnel will now be eligible to use the expedited screening at the Reagan National Airport. As the month progresses, TSA will allow “all active-duty service members and on-duty National Guard troops and reservists” to use the PreCheck lane at the airport as well. These men or women will not be required to wear their uniforms to use the lane but must have a military identification, also known as the Common Access Card.
TSA chief John Pistole commented, “U.S. service members are entrusted to protect and defend our nation and its citizens with their lives, and as such, TSA is recognizing that these members pose little risk to aviation security”. Despite being eligible for the PreCheck lane, all personnel will still face random security checks.

One of the biggest timeshare companies, RCI, has announced some new featured to its 2 million members that own timeshare vacation properties. This new implementation is intended to promote customers to trade their scheduled weeks and exchange with other users. This is also in regards to a common complaint among timeshare owners that trading their weeks or exchanging their vacation property for a different one is far too difficult and sometimes nearly impossible.
The new system will incorporate “trading power value” which will be the new medium from which RCI members will use to exchange their vacations. In the past owners were given a list of similar to lesser valued properties to choose from. This new system will allow timeshare owners to receive credit for downgrading their vacation stays and also allows them to use future weeks up to two years in advance to stay at properties that are valued higher than the one they own.
This is a belated improvement upon the timeshare exchange systems to say the least. If you own a timeshare and are fed up with it or simply cannot afford to be an owner any longer you need to contact a timeshare relief service. Companies like Transfer America can help you exit a timeshare contract easily and safely without the worry of receiving timeshare fees anymore.
